Our customers may invest in common and preferred shares, in corporate and government bonds and also in derivative stocks.

Share is a stock that gives its owner the right to get a share from the company’s profit, to participate in the decision making process of the company and to get a part of the company’s property in case of annulment. Preferred shares in contrast to common shares do not carry voting rights and the dividends are set by the company Charter and are distributed without additional pronouncement. In case of bankruptcy the company’s obligations towards preferred share holders are above the obligations towards the common share holders.

Bonds are stocks that give the owner the right to get a certain amount or equivalent in a certain period of time from the bond issuer, and also get percentage from the nominal value of the bond.

Derivative stock is a financial instrument whose value is dependent on the price of the underlying assets. The price of derivative stock is based on the underlying assets and is determined by the volatility of those assets. These stocks are riskier, as their prices are more volatile than those of the underlying assets. The most common underlying assets are: stocks, currencies, commodities and interest rates.

While investing in stocks one can face many risks. Here are some of them:

  • price volatility risk – the possible decrease in value of the investor’s stock,
  • interest volatility risk – possible decrease in profitability of the investor’s stock,
  • liquidity risk – difficulty or impossibility to sell the stock at any point of time,
  • bankruptcy risk – possible insolvency of the stock issuer,
  • foreign currency risk – possible losses caused by volatilities in the exchange course,
  • and others.
